Faith meets therapy: can religious CBT beat standard anxiety treatment?
NCT ID NCT07334769
Summary
This study tested whether a new group therapy program that blends religious principles with standard cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is more effective at reducing anxiety and improving well-being in young adults than traditional CBT alone. It involved 33 participants with generalized anxiety disorder who attended 10 weekly sessions. Researchers compared the new religiously-integrated program against standard CBT and a control group to see which led to greater and longer-lasting improvements.
