Relaxation exercises may ease menopause symptoms, small study finds
NCT ID NCT07158320
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether relaxation training could reduce hot flashes, improve sleep, and increase body awareness in menopausal and postmenopausal women. Forty-eight women aged 50-65 who were not on hormone therapy took part. The training involved progressive muscle relaxation, where participants tense and then relax different muscle groups while focusing on breathing. The goal was to see if this simple technique could help women manage common menopause symptoms without medication.
