First seen Apr 20, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at whether combining two relaxation techniques—Benson relaxation and Jacobson progressive muscle relaxation—can reduce symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) like mood swings, bloating, and fatigue. About 56 female university students with PMS will be split into three groups: one does Benson relaxation, one does Jacobson relaxation, and one does both. They will practice these techniques three times a week for two months. The goal is to find a safe, non-drug way to improve quality of life and daily functioning for women with PMS.
