Scientists test if fights with partners drive young adults to drink more
NCT ID NCT06976528
Summary
This study aims to understand how arguments between romantic partners influence heavy drinking in young adults. Researchers will observe 160 couples, aged 21-29, who report heavy drinking episodes. During lab visits, couples will complete conflict and puzzle tasks while their heart rate and alcohol consumption are measured to see how stress relates to drinking.
