First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 05, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study is testing whether Reiki, a complementary energy therapy, can help mothers who have had a cesarean section. Researchers want to see if Reiki reduces postpartum pain, increases comfort, and improves breastfeeding success compared to standard care or a sham treatment. About 99 mothers will receive either real Reiki, a pretend version, or standard care during their recovery.
