First seen Mar 04, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at whether Reiki, a gentle energy-based therapy, can help people feel less pain and move better after total knee replacement surgery. About 90 adults having planned knee surgery will be split into two groups: one gets standard care plus Reiki, the other gets standard care alone. Researchers will measure pain, mobility, and vital signs at 24, 48, and 72 hours after surgery to see if Reiki makes a difference.
