First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at how well three different drinks help the body recover fluids after exercise-induced dehydration. Fifteen physically active adults drank either a high-electrolyte sports drink, a low-electrolyte drink with trace minerals, or plain water. Researchers measured fluid balance, urine output, and skin hydration to see which drink worked best.
