Can tailored rehab stop the spine from wearing out after surgery?

NCT ID NCT07396051

Summary

This study is testing whether a structured physical therapy and education program can slow down or prevent new wear and tear in the spine next to where a fusion surgery was performed. It involves 212 frail adults aged 75 and older who are having a short lumbar fusion. The goal is to see if this long-term rehab program, started 12 weeks after surgery, works better than standard care alone at delaying this common problem.
