First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study will compare two types of ultrasound-guided nerve blocks (subcoracoid tunnel block vs. costoclavicular block) for pain control in 70 elderly patients undergoing distal upper limb surgeries lasting up to 2 hours. The goal is to see which block provides faster pain relief, longer-lasting comfort, and reduces the need for additional painkillers. Participants must be in good general health and have no allergies to local anesthetics.
