Pharmacists vs. unnecessary pills: new strategy aims to clean up senior prescriptions
NCT ID NCT07336550
Summary
This study aims to see if having pharmacists work directly with doctors is better than standard reports at reducing unnecessary prescriptions for seniors. It will involve 540 patients over 65 in Spain who are taking certain sedatives, stomach drugs, or painkillers for longer than recommended. The goal is to safely taper or stop these medications when they are no longer appropriate.
