First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests a new system that helps patients get and manage opioid pain pills after leaving the emergency room with a broken bone. The goal is to see if it reduces how many pills people take and encourages them to throw away unused pills. About 100 people aged 6 and older with a single bone fracture will take part. The system uses a smartphone app and special pill packaging to track and guide safe use.
