New blood pressure strategy aims to shield tiny hearts during surgery

Summary

This study tests whether a personalized blood pressure target can reduce dangerous low blood pressure in newborns having heart surgery. About 130 infants will be randomly assigned to either the new target or standard care. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and practical in the operating room and ICU.
