First seen Nov 14, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at how much heat and chemicals farmworkers in Imperial County, California, are exposed to at work and at home. Researchers measured temperature, hydration, and chemical levels using wearable monitors, wristbands, and home dust samples. A community health worker then helped participants find ways to lower their exposure. Afterward, the same measurements were taken again to see if the help made a difference.
