Puppets beat stress balls: playful distractions ease Kids' medical fears
NCT ID NCT07442019
Summary
This study tested whether simple, playful distractions could help young children feel less scared and more cooperative during inhaler treatments. Researchers compared using a finger puppet, a video game, or a stress ball in 120 children aged 4-6 years old. They found that the finger puppet and video game were more effective at improving children's emotional responses and cooperation than the stress ball.
