Can slower X-Rays protect heart doctors from radiation?

NCT ID NCT07221175

Summary

This study aims to see if using a slower X-ray pulse rate during a common heart imaging test (coronary angiogram) can reduce radiation exposure for the cardiologist performing it. Researchers will compare a new, ultra-low pulse rate to the current standard low rate. Doctors will wear special badges to measure radiation, and patient exposure will also be tracked.
