First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests whether using insecticidal paint on walls or a larvicide in latrines can reduce the number of flies and, in turn, lower cases of diarrhoea in refugee camps in South Sudan. About 5,676 children under 5 and adults over 15 will take part. The goal is to see if these simple, low-cost methods can help control disease in harsh settings.
