Clean water, stronger hearts: tribal communities fight arsenic

Summary

This study works with American Indian communities in North and South Dakota to reduce arsenic in their drinking water. About 57 households with high arsenic levels (10 µg/L or more) will use special water filters and receive community support. The goal is to lower arsenic in urine and water, which may help prevent long-term health problems like heart disease.
