New hope for controlling advanced leukemia with gentler treatment

NCT ID NCT07259161

Summary

This study is testing a new, less toxic combination of chemotherapy drugs (thiotepa and melphalan) for patients with an aggressive form of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) called blast phase. The goal is to better control the disease and improve survival by preparing patients for a stem cell transplant with fewer severe side effects. The study will enroll 40 adults in China to see if this approach is safe and effective.
