Doctors test cutting radiation dose for HPV throat cancer

NCT ID NCT05714657

Summary

This study is testing whether a shorter course of lower-dose radiation is safe and effective for patients with HPV-related throat cancer who have already had surgery. The goal is to see if reducing radiation can control the cancer while causing fewer side effects and improving quality of life. The trial includes 104 adults who have had successful surgery with no detectable cancer DNA in their blood afterward.
