Red light may soothe Kids' radiation burns

NCT ID NCT07183267

Summary

This study aims to see if daily red light therapy can help reduce painful skin and mouth sores in children receiving radiation treatment for cancer. It will include up to 248 children aged 0-16 who are getting proton or photon radiotherapy, except to the brain only. Researchers will compare these children's side effects to those of similar past patients to see if the light therapy makes a difference.
