First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether low-intensity red light therapy can slow or stop the worsening of high and extreme nearsightedness in adults aged 18 to 45. The treatment has shown promise in children, but its effects on adults are unknown. If successful, it could offer a non-invasive way to prevent vision loss from severe myopia.
