First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests a new, non-invasive treatment for dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a common cause of vision loss. About 94 adults aged 50 and older with dry AMD will use a red-light device at home for 3 minutes twice a day, 5 days a month for 3 months. The goal is to see if this therapy can improve eyesight and slow disease progression compared to a sham device.
