First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests a special stent that slowly releases medicine to keep the tear duct open after surgery for recurrent tear duct infections. About 40 adults who have had a failed prior surgery will be randomly assigned to get either the new stent or standard packing. The goal is to see if the stent reduces inflammation and scarring, improving long-term success.
