New study tests best way to fix a bulging rectum
NCT ID NCT07375147
Summary
This study aims to find out which of two surgical procedures works better for women with a rectocele, a condition where the rectum bulges into the vagina, causing severe constipation. Researchers will randomly assign 62 women to have surgery either through the anus or through the vagina. They will compare how much bowel function improves and track recovery times and complications after each procedure.
