NCT ID NCT07277842
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 30, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This phase 3 trial tests whether adding an immunotherapy drug (PD-1 antibody) to a strong chemotherapy and radiation regimen works better than standard chemo plus radiation for people with a certain type of advanced rectal cancer. About 382 adults will be randomly assigned to one of two treatment groups before any surgery. The goal is to improve long-term survival and increase the chance of avoiding a permanent colostomy or even avoiding surgery altogether.
