Summary
This was the first human study of a gel called Dehisgel, designed to prevent leaks at the surgical connection site after rectal cancer removal. It tested the gel's safety and whether it could reduce serious post-surgery complications. The study involved 20 adult patients but was terminated early, and its results are not yet widely available.
