Shocking recovery: electric pulses may help climbers bounce back faster
NCT ID NCT07336745
First seen Jan 18, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at whether electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) helps climbers recover from arm fatigue better than just resting. Ten male climbers did a climbing workout to tire their forearms, then tried either EMS or passive rest. The goal was to see which method helped them climb better afterward. The results could give climbers a new tool for between-climb recovery.
