New device aims to restore blood flow in leg veins

Summary
This study tests a new tool called the Recana Thrombectomy Catheter System to treat long-term blockages in leg veins. About 30 adults with painful swelling or leg pain from chronic venous disease will receive the treatment. The goal is to safely reopen the vein by at least 50% and track recovery for one year.
