Could a breastfeeding drug mend broken hearts after childbirth?

Summary
This study tests whether bromocriptine, a drug that stops breastfeeding, can help women with a rare pregnancy-related heart condition called peripartum cardiomyopathy recover heart function. About 250 women will be randomly assigned to receive bromocriptine or a placebo, and their heart strength will be measured at 6 and 12 months. The goal is to see if the drug improves survival and reduces the need for heart transplants or assist devices.
