New MRI method could make lung cancer radiation more precise

NCT ID NCT06322329

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study tests whether dynamic MRI can better track how lung tumors move during breathing compared to standard CT scans. About 150 people receiving radiation for lung tumors will have both scans, and researchers will compare the tumor motion measurements. The goal is to help doctors design safer, more accurate radiation treatments that hit the tumor while sparing healthy tissue.
