New catheter ablation study aims to improve AFib treatment

Summary
This study looks at how safe and effective a specific catheter (Thermocool SmartTouch SF) is for treating paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat) in real-world conditions. About 344 adults having their first ablation procedure will be followed to see if the treatment prevents the return of abnormal heart rhythms and to track any side effects. The goal is to gather practical evidence on this approach as an initial therapy.
