Tech-Supported tennis: a new way to coach teens with intellectual disabilities?

NCT ID NCT07517016

First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study compares two ways of teaching tennis to 30 teenagers (aged 12-18) with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. One group learns with a real-time pose recognition system that gives instant feedback on their movements, while the other group gets traditional face-to-face coaching. The goal is to see if the technology improves accuracy, learning speed, attention, and motivation. The study is active but not recruiting, and results are expected to show whether tech-enhanced training is more effective.
