Can early reading lessons unlock literacy for kids who Can't speak?
NCT ID NCT07116200
Summary
This study is testing whether special reading lessons given in kindergarten and first grade can help children with intellectual disabilities learn to read. The children in the study cannot speak and use communication aids like picture boards or devices. Researchers want to see if starting lessons early and continuing them leads to better reading skills compared to the usual teaching methods.
