Summary
This study tested whether the drug RDX-002 can lower high blood fats (triglycerides) in adults who recently stopped taking semaglutide or tirzepatide for obesity. 68 participants took either RDX-002 or a placebo daily for 12 weeks. Researchers measured fat levels after a high-fat meal and tracked body weight and cholesterol changes. The goal is to find a safe way to manage heart health after stopping these popular weight-loss drugs.
