Gene-Tailored therapy could outperform standard care for rare cancers

Summary
This study tests whether using a person's unique tumor genetics to choose their treatment works better than standard care for advanced rare cancers. About 946 adults with rare epithelial or mesenchymal cancers will be randomly assigned to either immediate genetically guided therapy or standard therapy followed by genetic guidance if needed. The goal is to see if the personalized approach slows cancer growth and improves survival.
