NCT ID NCT06922097
First seen May 09, 2026 ยท Last updated May 09, 2026
Summary
This study looked at 186 adults aged 50 and older having non-cardiac surgery. It compared giving atropine (a drug that increases heart rate) when the heart rate dropped below 60 beats per minute versus only when it dropped below 30 beats per minute. The goal was to see which approach reduced the need for norepinephrine, a medication used to maintain blood pressure during surgery.
