New blood test could transform care for hepatitis b and d patients

Summary
This study aims to create a rapid test that measures T-cell responses in people with chronic hepatitis B (HBV) or combined hepatitis B and D (HBV/HDV). By analyzing immune system activity, researchers hope to better understand how the disease progresses and how patients respond to treatment. The study is observational and does not involve any new drugs or treatments. It will enroll 300 adults from a single hospital in Italy.
