10-Minute syphilis test trial aims to speed up diagnosis
NCT ID NCT07358949
Summary
This study is testing whether a rapid, 10-minute syphilis test is practical and acceptable for patients and staff at family planning clinics in Hawaii. It involves about 70 people who are seeking contraception or abortion services. The goal is to see if offering this quick test during a clinic visit helps people get their results and start treatment faster than the usual lab test, which can take days.
