Heart stent patients may get safer blood thinners with new personalized approach

Summary
This study tests whether giving heart stent patients anti-platelet drugs based on their genes can lower the risk of dangerous bleeding compared to the standard one-size-fits-all approach. About 1,760 adults who have had a stent placed will be randomly assigned to either the personalized or standard treatment. The goal is to see if tailoring the medication can prevent bleeding complications while still protecting against heart attacks and strokes.
