New pill aims to tame manic episodes in bipolar disorder

Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called RAP-219 for people with bipolar I disorder who are currently having a manic episode (feeling extremely high, energetic, or irritable). About 250 adults will receive either RAP-219 or a placebo to see if the drug safely reduces manic symptoms. The goal is to find a new treatment option for acute mania.
