First seen Mar 01, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looked at whether drinking an electrolyte-carbohydrate beverage instead of water when breaking the fast during Ramadan changes how much people drink and how they feel. Sixty healthy Muslim adults aged 18-50 who were fasting for Ramadan took part. The goal was to see if the special drink affects thirst, mood, and overall wellbeing compared to water.
