New hope for aggressive lung cancer: targeted drug combo aims to stall progression

Summary
This study tests whether adding the drug niraparib to standard maintenance therapy can help control extensive-stage small cell lung cancer in people whose tumors have a specific marker (SLFN11-positive). About 44 participants will take a daily niraparib pill along with an anti-PD-L1 antibody. The main goal is to see how many patients are still cancer-free after 3 months.
