First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study will check if a specific ultrasound finding called the 'rail sign' can accurately detect placenta accreta in pregnant women who have placenta previa. About 90 women in their second or third trimester will be scanned. The goal is to see if this sign helps doctors diagnose a condition where the placenta grows too deeply into the womb wall, which can cause serious bleeding during delivery.
