First seen Jan 30, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tested whether a protective drape called RADPAD reduces radiation exposure for doctors performing heart catheterizations. About 1,000 procedures were observed, involving up to 100 doctors. The goal was to measure radiation levels with and without the shield to see if it offers extra protection beyond standard safety measures.
