New heat therapy tested against standard cream for chronic skin condition

NCT ID NCT07363733

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a radiofrequency heat treatment to a standard steroid cream works better than the cream alone for women with vulvar lichen sclerosus, a chronic skin condition. Researchers will compare symptoms, quality of life, and tissue changes in 68 women over a year. The goal is to see if the combined approach provides better and longer-lasting relief from itching, pain, and other symptoms.
