Zap for the bladder? new study tests radio waves for leak control

NCT ID NCT07398014

Summary

This study tested whether a non-invasive radiofrequency treatment could help women with overactive bladder and urge incontinence. 95 women were randomly assigned to receive either the real treatment or a fake (placebo) procedure. The treatment involved applying gentle radio waves to the bladder area to try to calm it down and reduce symptoms. Researchers measured changes in symptoms and quality of life over a year to see if the treatment worked.
