Zapping recurrent cancer to control dangerous calcium levels

NCT ID NCT07475780

Summary

This study is testing whether a procedure called radiofrequency ablation (RFA) can help control high calcium levels in people with recurrent parathyroid cancer. It will enroll 20 adults who have had surgery before but now have cancer that has come back in the neck and are not candidates for more surgery. Doctors will use ultrasound to guide a needle that heats and destroys the tumor, then monitor patients' calcium levels for a year to see if the treatment works.
