Radiation boost could extend lives in High-Risk prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT07477626

Summary

This study compares two approaches for men whose prostate cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes after surgery. Researchers want to see if adding pelvic radiation to standard hormone therapy helps keep the cancer from returning longer than hormone therapy alone. About 374 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the combination treatment or just hormone therapy for two years, with researchers tracking cancer recurrence, survival, and side effects.
