Summary
This study tested whether adding chest radiation to a standard treatment of immunotherapy and chemotherapy could help people with advanced small-cell lung cancer live longer. It involved 239 adults with this aggressive cancer who had not received prior treatment. The main goal was to see if the combination of all three therapies worked better together than the drug combination alone.
