Targeted High-Dose radiation tested for spinal cancer pain

NCT ID NCT02800551

Summary

This study tested whether a more targeted, higher-dose radiation treatment could better control pain from spinal metastases (cancer that has spread to the spine) compared to standard radiation. It involved 219 adult patients with painful spinal tumors. The goal was to see if the intensified treatment provided longer-lasting pain relief and better local tumor control without increasing side effects.
